Maori with Mrs T

 

This week Wednesday we did Maori with Mrs T.

We were looking at the photos in the 1998,of Maori 

culture.We saw photo of maraes and we saw people doing a Maori dance.

We got to learn about where they sleep and how they get up in the mornings.

We saw Maori welcoming other people to come eat we also learned Maori words like wharenui,Wharekai,

Wharenui meant a greeting house.And Wharekai was where they eat.

Farewell Mrs Lim

 

Today we were saying goodbye to Mrs Lim. Today it was her last day here.She was here for a very long time at Ruapotaka school.She was a very kind teacher.

This is me and friend next to me.Me and her was doing reading with someone.I wanted to read this book all day but i'm not allowed to take it home because the school owns it.I always like to read at school but not at home.This reading is so good because you get to learn new things on that brand new clean book.

Hi my name is Kesomi and i'm ten years old.We were doing art work because it was nearly Maori Language week.I love my Maori language picture because i got a lot of things on it like mountains seas and  fishes .Language week is like celebrate your language like Tongan and Samoa and those other things.

My travel

 This is my travel wise team at the assembly.I have to show room 3  how to cross the street.When they grow up they want to be like us because when they grow big they want to teach other people like us.We needed to do hard work so we can get the award.

I done this because it was about to be Maori language week so i wanted to do this. Maori Language week is super fun because you can play with them.
